If you want to set yourself apart from the all the other websites on the internet, there are two key elements you need to take in to account when your website is being built.

It’s important to lay out the content in an appealing way and to make sure that it is engaging to your reader.
Understanding what your customer wants and needs is far more important than having a flashy looking website that doesn’t do anything for you, both in terms of engagement with your customer and adding money to your bottom line.
When I build your website, I always take these factors into account as well as your readers’ potential skill level when using the internet. Not everyone knows how to ‘Like a Facebook Page’, ‘Re-tweet’ on Twitter and why on earth would they want to give you their email address just because you have an opt-in box asking for it.
I will help you make sure the content you put on your site is both appealing to your reader but is also written in a way that the search engines can easily be made aware of the key content of your site so that it can easily be found and shared with others.
Website Creation Design Options
I can build you a website that is static, which means that it does not need to be updated on a regular basis and so are very cheap to run year to year. They can also be designed as dynamic websites that are updated on a regular basis with news, special offers or new products.
I can also show you how to update and maintain your own website so longer term this will make things easier and cheaper for you. Please see my WordPress Workshops for more details.
I always have an initial consultation to find out what you want to achieve from your website and also get an idea of how you would like it to be designed, colour schemes, logos etc.
I will then go ahead and build the site for you and get it published on to the internet. You will be able to make any changes and amendments that may be necessary….and the beauty of WordPress is you can change things easily and as often as you need to.
The Platform
When it comes to developing dynamic websites, I prefer to do it with an Open Source platform called WordPress.
I’ve chosen to use an Open Source solution for one very important reason – they are the most cost-effective web development strategy currently available today, which means that you, as the customer, pay less for an established, powerful system.
It also means that I do not hold the rights to your website – the rights to the design, development and coding belong to you. So should you wish to move your site somewhere else, you will easily be able to do so.
